“I knew during my visit there that that was the place for me," she said on Oct. 31. "I visited Michigan State and Georgetown, too. What set Oklahoma State apart from the rest was the coaching staff. I really liked the coaches and everyone involved with the program. I'm also just ready to get out of state and meet new people and experience something new."
“I visited a few places, but the coaching staff at Oakland and the culture with the players there really drew me in. It felt like a family environment, and I could tell everyone really cared about each other there. I talked to (former Grand Haven standout) Krysteena Davis on my visit, and seeing her have a lot of success at Oakland really motivated me. The Rochester area is really nice, too, and it’s not too far away from home.”

“The location was a big part of my decision. I grew up in Kentucky, where there really isn’t a lot of water around, and I’ve loved being in Grand Haven next to the lake. So, Lake State being right by the water made it really appealing to me. It’s also a developing program, and I want to be a part of the growth of the volleyball program and the culture there. The coach and the girls that are already on the team really made me feel welcome, and I’m excited to make new friends over there and keep playing volleyball.”

“Location was a big factor for me. It’s got a smaller-town feel to it, which I kind of like. I’m not really a big city person. The financial support of the scholarship they offered me really helps, too. When I was touring the campus, I could tell they are still renovating the buildings and centers there, so I think there’s still a lot of room to grow there. I knew right when they offered me that that was the right place for me.”
