Grand Haven schools’ Superintendent Andy Ingall received the highest rating during his recent review.

The Board of Education for Grand Haven Area Public Schools rated Ingall as “highly effective.” Ingall’s review was based on the Michigan Association of School Boards’ Superintendent Evaluation, which takes into account staff relations, instructional leadership, business and finance, community relations, and governance and board relations.

“I can’t thank Andy enough for what he’s done for our district,” said School Board President John Siemion.

In setting goals for the future, Secretary Christine Baker thanked Ingall for his openness and willingness to talk through his goals.

Trustee Chris Streng said Ingall’s commitment is felt throughout the district, and Ingall’s leadership is one of the district’s pillars of excellence.

Siemion said he’s happy Ingall is with the district, and he looks forward to future years.

Since joining the district in 2015, Ingall has received “highly effective” ratings during each of his reviews.

“It’s an honor to work here and serve our community,” Ingall said.
