Gayle Howard Baldwin Brink

Gayle Howard Baldwin Brink, 72, died (breast cancer) October 30, 2018, reluctantly leaving her beloved husband and best friend Richard Roy Brink, her beloved son and daughter-in-law Benjamin McMillan “Mac” and Stephanie Burks Brink, her beloved daughter and son-in-law Abigail “Abby” Brink White and Carl Stevens “Steve” White, and her exceptional and adored grands Liv, Emory, Ava and Addie Brink, and Riter and Bennett White.

Striving to live by the words “What you are will show in what you do,” she was known to her family and friends as dependable, capable, creative, inspirational, smart and fiercely loyal. Some might include witty and insightful — she would have debated both. She also would have told you she had a wonderful life — and she did.

Not because she could cook, but because she could not, she leaves you her simple chocolate sauce recipe, which is delicious. Heat together one heaping cup of chocolate chips, one heaping cup of marshmallows and one can of evaporated milk — delicious, never fail, and a tiny touch of heaven on earth.

Please, send no flowers. Should you wish to mark her passing, please consider The Salvation Army of Dallas, Texas, or The Salvation Army of Grand Haven, Michigan. “Celebration of Life” is Thursday, November 8, 10 a.m., at 1999 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, TX 75201 (parking available).
