Victory announces Senate committee assignments

LANSING — State Sen. Roger Victory on Monday announced his Senate committee assignments for the 100th Legislature.

Victory, R-Hudsonville, has been assigned four committee leadership roles. He will chair the Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture and Rural Development and serve as vice chairman of the Agriculture Committee and the Appropriations subcommittees on General Government and Transportation. In addition, Victory will serve as a member of the Appropriations Committee and Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the Appropriations Subcommittee on Natural Resources and Environmental Quality.

“The committee process is incredibly important to ensuring we have effective legislation and a sound budget,” he said. “I am looking forward to serving on these committees and working on the behalf of the good people of Ottawa County to represent our interests.”

Victory’s new office

Last week, Victory announced that his Lansing office is open and ready to meet the needs of constituents in the state Senate 30th District.

“I am honored to serve the residents of Ottawa County and pursue legislation that will continue to preserve and improve our way life,” he said. “I am eager to get started.”

Victory’s office is in Room 4100 of the Connie B. Binsfeld Office Building, located at 201 Townsend St. in Lansing, across the street from the Michigan Capitol at the corner of Townsend and Allegan.
