The Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association released its All-State list for all four divisions this week, highlighting the accomplishments of a number of local players.

Three Buccaneers, two Lakers, and two Warriors cracked All-State teams.

Spring Lake’s Phoebe Saunders led the way with the lone first-team distinction, earning a spot as a midfielder after the Lakers’ run to the regional finals, adding to her second-team selection as a sophomore last year.

Teammate Laney Peasley finished her career this spring as Spring Lakes’ all-time leading scorer, earning her a spot among the Division 2 honorable mentions for the second straight season.

Jennifer Dear topped the Bucs’ honorees, racking the Division 1 second-team list after leading Grand Haven to a district title as a playmaking forward, improving on her honorable mention distinction last year.

Alli Keyser joined her as an honorable mention at forward, while Hannah Brackenbury earned an honorable mention from the keeper position.

Western Michigan Christian ran into red-hot North Muskegon in their quest for postseason hardware, but the Norse couldn’t block them from postseason awards.

Senior forward Anna Sytsema was named to the Division 3 third team, improving from her honorable mention status as a junior, while forward Morgan Kinnucan earned an honorable mention.
