The now junior’s second individual event at the 2017 state meet was the 100 butterfly, where she finishing in third place, clocking in at 54.76. That time was good for 69th in the nation.
Finally, Ackerman completed the triple with an in-season 500 freestyle time of 4:54.63 to finish 70th in the nation. Her three certificates bring her total All-American honors to five, as she picked up two during her freshman season.
The Lakers finished 96th overall with their time of 3:07.58 in the 400 freestyle relay, which earned them runner-up honors at the Division 3 state meet last season, as well as a Spring Lake school record.
Wachter, Losee and Peel will all return for the 2018-19 season for another go at the top 100, while Fogel will continue his swimming career at Albion College.
