Pair of WMC athletes signs for college play

MUSKEGON — Two Western Michigan Christian athletes signed their letters of intent to continue their careers in college this week.

Chanaiya Richards signed with Keiser College to compete as a two-sport athlete as a member of the cross country and track and field Seahawk squads. Richards is pictured at her signing day with her parents Chandra Richards and Thomas Williams.

Katilyn VanHekken signed with Alma College to continue her competitive cheerleading career as a Fighting Scott. Richards is also pictured with her parents, Jennifer and Chris VanHekken, who played an invaluable role in the development of the WMC cheer program.
